In the Lofoten (North of Norway), one of the traditions which last since the middle is one of the tongues – cutters, Tungeskjærerne. When the fishing season is at its peak, kids from 6 to 16 years old, after school, are in charge of a particular job, cutting the tongues of the codfish.
